IB Curriculum and Examination Structure
IB Curriculum
The IBDP curriculum contains 9 courses, including 3 DP core courses and 6 subject groups. Higher Level and Standard Level subjects vary in scope but use the same grading criteria, requiring students to exhibit a more extensive range of knowledge, comprehension, and abilities at the Higher Level.
Students are required to select 3-4 HL courses and a minimum of 3 SL courses.

Assessment and Examination
External Examination
A crucial element of the IB program is its external examination. These globally standardized assessments measure students' knowledge and grasp of the subject matter. Examinations typically take place at the conclusion of a two-year course and are graded by an external examiner appointed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Written-format questions include multiple-choice, case-based questions, essays, and more.
Grading System
Each subject group course has a maximum score of 7, and the six total subjects are scored 42 points.
Each core course has a maximum score of 1, so the maximum score in the IB exam is 45.
Internal assessment accounts for 20% of the total subject score, which is graded by the school's internal teachers.
External examination contributes for 80% of the total subject score.
